A bunch of funny, crazy comedians bringing their lives, observation and love of laughter to the people of Melbourne. To raise awareness that we exist. Brisbane, get ready to laugh until your sides ache because Black Laughs Matter is coming to Brisbane for the first time, and it promises to be big, bolder, and funnier than anything you have seen before! This highly anticipated comedy event, set to take place on August 29th at the historic Sit Down Comedy Club. Bringing a line-up of all-Black and African comedians who are ready to light up the stage with their unique brand of humour.
Black Laughs Matter is more than just a comedy show; it’s a cultural event; it’s a celebration of Black excellence and creativity, celebrating diversity in these divided times we are living and what other way to do it other than through laughs in comedy.
Ticket Prices
Adult 18+: $35.00 ea + booking fee
Concession 18+: $30.00 ea + booking fee
All ‘Black Laughs Matter’ transactions incur a booking fee of $3 per ticket.

Online ticketing will close 4hrs prior to the show start time on the day of the event. After this time, tickets will be available for purchase on the door unless sold out prior. The Sit Down Comedy Club is licensed – strictly no admittance to people under 18 years of age. Patrons who purchase concession tickets will only be admitted upon presentation of corresponding ID on the night of the performance. Failure to produce appropriate ID may result in the patron being charged full price for their ticket. Performer line up is correct at time of publication, however is subject to change without prior notification and at the discretion of management. Some performance concepts and language may offend. Filming may be occurring in the venue for this performance. Seating allocated by SDCC depending on booking group sizes and chronological order of bookings.
